Rooted in care, guided to healing.
Meet Kathleen
Welcome — I’m glad you’re here.
My name is Kathleen, thank you for taking the time to learn a bit about me and my practice. I am a mixed-race, cis-gendered woman with South Asian and European Ancestry. I was born in Toronto with experience living and working in many communities in Ontario, Nova Scotia, Northwest Territories, and Jamaica. These experiences have given me a unique perspective on the many ways that we show up in the world, and an understanding that being human in an unjust world can significantly erode pathways to care and healing.
As a therapist, I believe that healing begins within a safe, trusting relationship. At the heart of my work is a deep respect for your lived experience and a commitment to walking alongside you, wherever you are on your journey — without judgement.
For over a decade I have supported folks from many walks of life during some of the most challenging or perplexing experiences that have met them. Rather than impose answers, my goal is to help you to reconnect with your own inner wisdom and resilience, and forge pathways forward that feel empowering and rooted in who you are.
In addition to my work as a therapist, I am a mother, partner, daughter, sister, friend and now part of the East-Toronto community. I enjoy spending time in nature – especially near bodies of water — in the company of family, chosen family and dear friends. Some of the activities that bring me joy are crafting, practicing yoga, trying new cuisines, dancing and live music.
If you’re considering therapy, I welcome you to reach out to begin the conversation. I look forward to hearing from you.
Warmly, Kathleen
Working Together
My therapeutic work is centered on the belief that meaningful change happens in the context of genuine human connection. I strive to create a space where you feel seen, heard and deeply understood —where you can explore freely, at your own pace and in your own way.
I work with individuals in Ontario navigating a range of experiences—from anxiety, depression, and grief, to identity exploration, life transitions, family & intercultural conflicts, relationship challenges, and parenthood. My practice is culturally sensitive and rooted in compassion, curiosity, and respect. Drawing on modalities such as CBT, narrative therapy, mindfulness, and somatic approaches, I tailor support to your unique needs and strengths.
Knowing that you are the expert in your own life, I collaborate with you to create a compassionate and non-judgemental space to examine current challenges within the context of the systems that impact individual and collective experience. Together we’ll work to uncover the patterns that no longer serve you, build resilience, reconnect with inner resources and engage in a process that honours your strengths, supportive traditions and lived experiences.

Land Acknowledgement
I would like to acknowledge that the land on which I live and work is the traditional territory of many Nations, including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnaabe, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples, and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. Today, Toronto is covered under Treaty #13, signed by the Mississaugas of the Credit, and is part of the Dish with One Spoon Wampum Belt, a treaty between Indigenous Nations to care for and share the land and its resources peacefully- not to relinquish rights.
As a settler on this land and as a therapist practicing here, I understand that a land acknowledgement is a small step in the process of truth, reconciliation and healing — and that these Nations continue to suffer from displacement and colonization. I honour the responsibility to pursue ongoing learning about the history and continued impacts of colonization, and strive to bring awareness, respect and responsibility into my work and relationships. I am committed to holding space for the stories, strengths and struggles of Indigenous peoples and continue the journey toward reconciliation.
